Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA)

Provides grants to states and jurisdictions to support service systems, including evaluation and assessment, for young children who have or are at risk for developmental delays/disabilities. Funds are provided through the Infants and Toddlers Program (known as Part C of IDEA) for services to children birth through 2 years of age, and through the Preschool Program (known as Part B-Section 619 of IDEA) for services to children 3 through 5 years of age.
