How Pathways.org Resources Are Developed to Educate and Empower

We strive to be a positive, reliable source of information on baby development that parents and caregivers can use to advocate for their children and professionals can use to support their education or practice. That’s why all Pathways.org materials—from our articles and videos to our courses and mobile app—go through a rigorous creation and approval process involving experts in pediatric healthcare:

  1. First, we come up with our topics! We consider input from multiple sources, including the Pathways.org Medical Roundtable, pediatric therapists’ clinical experience, questions we get on social media, and trending news in the baby development world.

  2. Then we create our content — Some resources, like our courses and games, are directly developed with pediatric experts. But all of our content begins with thorough research and is crafted with real parents in mind. Our milestones are from American Academy of Pediatrics materials.

  3. After that, our content gets reviewed and validated by experts — Each resource goes through multiple rounds of review and revisions, with one of those rounds always involving feedback and approval from at least one of our 75 expert healthcare providers.

  4. Revise, refresh, repeat! We never stop improving and updating our content, whether that’s due to updated milestones from the American Academy of Pediatrics, new research, feedback from our pediatric experts, or suggestions from you!
