Did you know mirrors help your baby learn? Be sure to use a baby-safe mirror. Babies love faces! So try holding them in front of a mirror. They may even reach out to touch the baby in the mirror. Eventually, they will learn they are seeing their own face and start to recognize their reflection.

Use these tips to help baby grow:

  • Practice visual motor skills on the mirror

  • Point out and name parts of yours and baby’s face

  • Make silly faces and see if baby imitates you

The best part? You probably already have a mirror in your home!
